APRÍ activewear manufacturing in Portugal – garment craftsmanship

Behind every garment are people. Skilled hands, considered materials and decisions that shape far more than the finished product.

When we choose what to wear, we often think about fit, feel and performance. But there is another question worth asking: who made our clothes, and how were they made?

At APRÍ, we believe the way activewear is made matters just as much as how it performs. That belief is one of the reasons we choose to manufacture our collections in Portugal.

Why we make our activewear in Portugal

Portugal has a long tradition of textile and garment manufacturing. For APRÍ, producing there means working with carefully selected partners whose craftsmanship, quality standards and approach to responsible production align with our priorities.

Our supplier selection is about more than a finished garment. We consider the quality of the work, working conditions and the ethical and environmental initiatives of the factories we work with. Manufacturing closer to our European customers also helps us plan a more connected supply chain.

Behind every stitch are people

Clothing does not appear out of nowhere. Every seam, finish and detail reflects someone's work. We believe those people deserve consideration and respect.

That is why we place importance on the people and practices behind our products when choosing manufacturing partners. A country-of-origin label alone cannot guarantee responsible working conditions; the relationships, expectations and follow-up behind it matter too.

Quality starts long before the final stitch

For us, quality begins with material selection and continues through development, production and the finished garment. We work closely with our partners and pay attention to the details that influence comfort, function and longevity.

From the feel of the fabric to construction and fit, our goal is to create activewear you want to reach for again and again—not pieces designed to be replaced after a season.

Thoughtful materials. Purposeful performance.

Our approach begins with choosing materials for their feel, function and suitability for the garment. One example is our TENCEL™ Lyocell and cotton blend, used in selected APRÍ T-shirts.

We also develop products with plant-based anti-odour technology in selected styles, designed to help garments stay fresher between washes. We believe performance and thoughtful design should work together.

Smaller runs. More considered choices.

We believe making better is more important than simply making more. By planning our collections carefully and producing in smaller, selected runs, we aim to limit unnecessary stock and reduce the risk of overproduction.

This approach is part of our ongoing effort to build a more thoughtful business. Responsible manufacturing is not a single claim or a finished destination; it is a series of choices that must keep improving.

Closer to our customers, closer to the process

Manufacturing in Europe places production closer to many of our customers. Shorter distances can help reduce transport needs on European routes, although the overall environmental impact depends on many factors, including materials, production methods and logistics.

Just as importantly, geographic proximity supports closer collaboration with our manufacturing partners and more deliberate production planning.

Buy better. Wear longer.

We want APRÍ to stand for more than how a piece of activewear looks. We want it to represent care in the choices behind it—from materials and craftsmanship to the people involved in production.

Next time you choose activewear, ask what went into making it. Where was it made? Who made it? Was it designed to be worn often?

Because the true value of what we wear goes beyond the price tag.

MADE IN PORTUGAL. MADE WITH PURPOSE.
